The fertile land of all kind of vegetation in this region due to the free flow of Amodar. Joyrambati is 27 miles from Bishnupur and 12 miles from Arambag, is the birthplace of holy mother Sri Sri Ma Sarada Devi.

Sri Sri Ma Sarada Devi worshipped as the holy mother is the spiritual concert of Sri Ramakrishna. The peace and prosperity of Joyrambati will take you to another spiritual world.
You can take a look of Old House and New House, which is inside the premises.1. Sri Sri Matri Mandir
The beautiful temple of Ma Sarada was built at the same place where she was born 22nd December 1853. It was her father's house and she married with Sri Ramakrishna in this very house. Ma Sarada lived there with her parents until the age of nine.
19th April 1923 on the day of Akshaya Tritiya this temple was dedicated to holy mother. A spacious prayer hall with a statue of the holy mother is there. Holy mother is worshipped daily with proper offerings.

2. Punya Pukur
This is a big water tank in front of the holy temple inside this boundary. It was used by Ma Sarada Devi.
3. Mayer Dighi
“Mayer Dighi” is a big lake beside the Joyrambati bus-stand where holy
mother in her childhood days used to cut grass from neck-deep water to feed the cows. We can
take a holy dip into this Dighi and get refreshed.
4. Nara Narayan Temple
There is another temple called “Nara Narayan Temple” within 1 kilometer of Sri Sri Matri Mandir, where a child below 5 years of age is worshiped as “God Narayan” daily at 10 am. There is a myth behind this, a group of people believes that one-day Swami Vivekananda will return in this holy land, and the child who is worshipped will turn into stone.

Joyrambati is the perfect place for pilgrims. The peace and prosperity of this place will
take you to another spiritual world. The things you will love to do
1. Meditation
The serenity of the Sri Sri Matri Mandir will take to the spiritual world. You can meditate for hours in the prayer hall.
2. Prasad
Anyone can eat "Mayer Bhog" here by paying. Timing is from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
3. Local Buying
There is a bookstall inside Sri Sri Matri Mandir. You can purchase story books related to Thakur Ramkrishna, Sarada Ma, Swamiji or other spiritual books. There are few curio shops outside the temple, where you can found local items made by the people of Joyrambati.
When to Visit in Joyrambati?
I have visited there at various time, but every time I visited there was memorable to me. If you ask me, then I can say, there is no specific time to visit Matri Mandir. But there are various activities performed at different times.
1. Daily activities
Daily Activities (Worship etc.) Evening Arati Preaching (After Evening Arati) Prasad Distribution (Noon) Matrinam Sankirtan (Thursday) Ramnam (Ekadashi Day)There are various timings for opening the Garva Dawar, I went there at 11.30 a.m. and Matri mandir door was opened only for 5 minutes.

How to reach in Joyrambati?
1. By road
It is near about 100
kilometers from Howrah railway station or Esplanade via Tarakehswar or Dankuni.
Or you can come by
bus. AC bus services are available from Belur Math, Howrah. Otherwise various
private and government bus running in these routes.
2. By Train
Goghat is the nearest local railway station. You have to take the train from Howrah to reach
Goghat or Arambagh; from there 13-kilometers car drive will take you, Sri Sri, Matri Mandir.
Food and Staying near Matri Mandir
There are many hotels available near Sri Sri Matri Mandir at Joyrambati. But book early at the time of major days, otherwise, you can not book a hotel.Many restaurants are also available here. The famous thing is "Sada Bonde", you must try this one if you visited this place.
Although Joyrambati is one day tour, and I went there to visit three places (Kamarpukur, Joyrambati and Bonolota Resort in Joypur Jungle) and came back on this very day. But if you want to enjoy the beauty, serenity, peacefulness and want to take a break from urban life then it is the perfect holiday destination for you.
